The AmaXIng Challenge is Alpha Xi Delta’s signature fundraising event designed to raise funds and awareness for Autism Speaks and spectrum disorders. Iota Psi chapter hosts two main events throughout the academic year - Fest-Xi-Fall at Homecoming during the fall semester, and Field FrenXi during the spring semester.
Fest-Xi-Fall is an opportunity for our chapter to demonstrate to students, families, and alumni alike the ways that autism can impact the many individuals and families who are affected by it. We table during the homecoming festivities to provide and promote awareness, understanding, and acceptance of autism and other spectrum disorders, and we have games and sell food to raise money for Autism Speaks.
Field FrenXi is our annual kickball tournament hosted during the spring semester. This fun athletic event allows our chapter to promote understanding and acceptance campus-wide, and to interact with representatives from the many different organizations on campus. We look forward to this event every year, and it is a great opportunity for Panhellenic support!
In order to donate as much as we can to our national philanthropy, Iota Psi hosts fundraisers sponsored by local restaurants and eateries. This past spring, we partnered with a local branch of Chipotle to raise money for Autism Speaks. Chipotle generously donated 50% of proceeds on April 2, 2018 from the orders of anyone who showed our flyer at the register. We hope to continue to partner with members of the community to raise funds and spread awareness!
Autism Speaks Walk
Iota Psi participates in the Autism Speaks Walk! The last walk we participated in was on Saturday, April 28th, 2018. With the help of friends, family, and generous anonymous donors, our chapter raised over $5,500 for the walk! Thank you to everyone who helped us to surpass our goals!
