Alpha Xi Delta’s Philanthropic Focus

 

 

 

 

 

The Kindly Hearts Initiative

The Kindly Hearts Initiative serves as the umbrella to our national philanthropic focus of supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Deltas across the country support two Key Impact Organizations, FosterClub and StandUp for Kids, making a national and regional difference under the umbrella of our focus.

Letters of Love

All Alpha Xi Delta chapters and alumnae associations participate in Letters of Love, Alpha Xi Delta’s national letter writing fundraising campaign. Held annually during the month of November this campaign benefits Alpha Xi Delta’s two Key Impact Organizations, StandUp for Kids and FosterClub.

AmaXIng Challenges

The AmaXIng Challenge is Alpha Xi Delta’s signature fundraising event designed to raise funds and awareness for our national philanthropy, the Kindly Hearts Initiative, and our local philanthropy the Milagro House. Iota Psi chapter hosts many philanthropy events throughout the semester.

 

Xingo

The women of Alpha Xi Delta’s Chapter Iota Psi at Franklin & Marshall College will host “Xingo - an in person bingo game for sisters, friends, alumni, and family to have a fun night and raise money for the Kindly Hearts Initiative! There will be multiple prize winners and a grand prize raffled off. For $7 you receive 2 bingo cards and every additional card is $3. We hope you'll join us!

French Fry FrenXI

French Fry Frenxi is a fundraising event in which we sell french fries with a variety of toppings and seasonings. This event takes place during the Asian American Alliance's annual night market. It is an amazing opportunity for us to collaborate with other organizations on campus while also raiding money for our philanthropy.

Cotton CanXI

Cotton CanXI is another fundraising event that takes place during our True Blue Parent/Alumni Weekend. We set up at the tailgate and bring smiles to children and parents alike with the popular carnival food: cotton candy. Not only is this a great way to raise money for the Kindly Hearts Initiative, but also to connect with our college's community.

Bingo Fundraiser

In order to donate as much as we can to our national philanthropy, Iota Psi hosts a bingo fundraiser via Instagram stories! When you see a xi upload a bingo board with the mission of the Kindly Hearts Initiative, make sure to swipe up and contribute. Every dollar is going to children in need!

 

Additional Philanthropic Events

Additional events we coordinate throughout the semester may involve group and individual service project opportunities, donation drives, profit share nights at local restaurants, food fundraising events and more! Follow us on social media to see event announcements and information.
