Letter from the President
Founded one hundred and twenty-five years ago, the national women’s organization Alpha Xi Delta has one hundred and thirty chapters and 175,000 members and counting. Alpha Xi Delta’s goal is to inspire women to realize their potential in college and beyond. Here at Franklin & Marshall’s Alpha Xi Delta chapter, Iota Psi, we strive to do the same for our members, both collegiate and alumni.
Through our four values - leadership, knowledge, service, sisterhood - sisters of Alpha Xi Delta nurture unity and cooperation, instill community responsibility, and foster intellectual, professional and personal growth. Alpha Xi Delta is a place where women not only find lifelong friendships and support in their personal lives, but also discover a place where women become leaders, from working with our philanthropic partner, Autism Speaks, to networking with women in other Alpha Xi Delta chapters and beyond.
As a freshman at F&M, I wanted to find a space on campus that not only supported me through my hardships, but that would also push me to grow beyond my comfort zone and to my fullest potential. Joining Alpha Xi Delta became this space for me, as the women I met in this organization have and continue to constantly push me to be the best version of myself while supporting me academically and emotionally. My sisters continue to show me the endless potential I have as a woman, and I strive to do the same for other Alpha Xi Delta sisters.
With love and TFJ,
President of Alpha Xi Delta, Iota Psi Chapter
