Sisterhood

As members of Alpha Xi Delta, sisterhood is one of our core values and something we practice every day. Our goal is to create a family and a support system for our sisters, many of whom are far from home while at school. It is not uncommon to find our sisters spending time together wherever you go on campus - whether it’s studying in the library, grabbing a coffee in Blue Line, or sitting out on Hartman Green on sunny days. Iota Psi also hosts official sisterhood events, which allow our chapter to bond over fun activities! We’ve made many memories picking pumpkins, getting scared on haunted hay rides, and petting cows, as well as at our on-campus sisterhoods like canvas painting or heading to an empty lecture hall for a movie night.

“Joining Alpha Xi Delta has been the best decision of my college career. When I first joined I knew that I would make a lot more friends, but I never knew the special connections that I would find in AXiD. I have met women that will always love and support me throughout my life. I know that even after college I will have my sisters to fall back on whenever I need them. I am going to miss the sisterhood that I have gotten from being on campus after I graduate. I can’t wait for future girls to have the same experience I have in AXiD and I wouldn’t have traded my time in AXiD for anything.” - Clare Walston, Former Panhel Delegate

“Alpha Xi Delta has definitely been one of the best parts of my time at F&M. I never pictured myself being in a sorority, but AXiD has given me an amazing group of supportive and empowering women. I can't picture myself anywhere else, and I can't wait to see what the next 3 years will bring for AXiD!” - Ayla Saferstein, Former Recruitment 365 Director
