As members of Alpha Xi Delta, sisterhood is one of our core values and something we practice every day. Our goal is to create a family and a support system for our sisters, many of whom are far from home while at school. It is not uncommon to find our sisters spending time together wherever you go on campus - whether it’s studying in the library, grabbing a coffee in Blue Line, or sitting out on Hartman Green on sunny days. Iota Psi also hosts official sisterhood events, which allow our chapter to bond over fun activities! We’ve made many memories bouncing at SkyZone, painting mugs at The Pottery Works, skating at our local ice skating rink, as well as at our on-campus sisterhoods like cookie baking in the Writers’ House, or heading to an empty lecture hall for a movie night.

"I love being a member of Alpha Xi Delta because it is such a constructive and influential community.  My sisters so often amaze me with what they accomplish and encourage me to accomplish my own individual goals." - Sara Vitelli, Panhellenic Vice President

“When accepted to Franklin and Marshall I was given the opportunity to study abroad my first semester. I have always been so grateful for that life-changing experience, but it was difficult arriving on campus in the middle of freshman year. It seemed as though everyone knew each other and the small campus environment exaggerated that aspect. I became determined to reach out and find my place. But because I was accepted as a Spring Admit I was unable to participate in formal recruitment that year. I rushed the following year. Formal recruitment was an overwhelming experience but it opened my eyes to the plethora of different personalities girls in the sororities had to offer. Being a sister has greatly enhanced my college experience.” - Maddy Markmann-Porch, COB Director

“Alpha Xi Delta has definitely been one of the best parts of my time at F&M. I never pictured myself being in a sorority, but AXiD has given me an amazing group of supportive and empowering women. I can't picture myself anywhere else, and I can't wait to see what the next 3 years will bring for AXiD!” - Ayla Saferstein, Recruitment 365 Director
